Chief Executive Officer for Distributed Generation
Siemens AG


Wolfgang Konrad was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Siemens AG business unit Power and Gas Distributed Generation on October 1st 2014. In the first month he integrated the Rolls Royce Aero derivative business into the Siemens AG business unit Power and Gas Distributed Generation. Previously, Mr. Konrad was responsible for the Large Gas Turbines business in Berlin from January 2013 to September 2014. During this time he launched various projects for e. g. future technology development, introduction of advanced manufacturing technologies and lead time optimization. Before Dr. Konrad joined Siemens, he was chief operation officer of MT Aerospace 2010 to 2012 and before that CEO of MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg in Ludwigsfelde, Germany. During his leadership he influenced the major developments and service business for aero engines and aero derivatives. He has a wide knowledge in this specific business. Since September 1st 2009 he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute of Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK). Until 2007 he worked in various management positions in engineering, manufacturing and quality management for BMW in Munich and Berlin.
