Thomas Maidonis is an energy economist with post graduate studies in energy and environmental resource management. He is working as a project manager at WIP Renewable Energies since more than three years with a focus on grid integration of variable renewable energy sources. He has been actively involved in the coordination of the stoRE project and also participates in the GridTech project. Prior to WIP, he worked as a research assistant for Goldwind's R&D department in China studying the grid integration of wind energy and also has experience with energy consultancy work in different countries.
