Adel El Gammal is a senior expert and a recognised EU Affairs professional in the fields of renewables, energy transition, low carbon economics and climate change. Before founding Becquerel Institute, a consultancy providing advanced Research and Intelligence on energy transition and Solar PV, Adel was Secretary General of EPIA (European Photovoltaic Industry Association), where he conducted several studies on the future of PV and other renewables, and authored several international articles on renewables and global climate change. He also worked on several urban planning projects as member of Jeremy Rifkin’s Third Industrial revolution CEO roundtable. More recently, in the framework of the EU 2030 climate and energy package, he developed the “Low Carbon Facts” initiative on behalf of the European Climate Foundation. Adel is civil engineer from Ecole Polytechnique of Brussels and holds degrees in Environment Management, and in Business Administration from Solvay Business School (Belgium) and Insead (France)
