Mr. Alap R. Shah is an Associate Vice President and Turbine Technologies Manager at Black & Veatch Power. Shah is responsible for the selection of gas and steam turbine technologies, risk identification and mitigation of a first-of-a-kind gas turbine technology integration, performance guarantees and performance testing of combined and simple cycle projects. Shah is familiar with several thermal cycle analysis computer programs and has modeled various cycle configurations for many projects, including repowering projects. He has prepared and conducted combined cycle performance tests and analyzed the performance of existing units based on test data.
