Flor was born and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. She received her BS in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Universidad Iberoamericana, and her MS in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Design Optimization at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Flor joined GE in 2001. She started her career as Steam Turbine design engineer. In 2002, she moved to Schenectady, NY. She has 17 years of experience in the Power Generation industry. She spent several years in Steam Turbine Engineering with experience in mechanical design, performance, thermodynamic design, and systems engineering for several applications. Most recently, she has specialized in Product Management with roles in control solutions, power plant solutions, and Digital Power Plant. She is now responsible for the portfolio of combined cycle HRSG, steam turbine and generator products.
