Dr. Josh Zender is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at California State University-Humboldt (CSU) and specializes in governmental and triple bottom line accounting. He also serves as a virtual lecturer at Central Washington University, Athens State University, and, previously, at Auburn University. He has worked in a financial management role for local governments in Alabama, California, New York, and Washington. Dr. Zender has led and authored program evaluation studies for several state and local agencies. During his tenure with Accenture, LLP, he supported the development of a patented financial model and contributed content to the book, Unlocking Public Value. He holds a Ph.D. from Auburn University, a MPA from the University of Illinois, and a B.B.A. from Gonzaga University. He is currently licensed as a CPA, CIA, CGMA, CGAP, CITP, and CGFM.
