Sean Wittenberg is the president and cofounder of Safe Catch, a food technology firm based in Sausalito, CA, that is on a mission to provide people with pure seafood and protect purity in our oceans. Safe Catch recently launched the only canned tuna that has had every single tuna tested for mercury. Safe Catch has tested over 700,000 fish for mercury in every ocean and developed the largest proprietary database of seafood purity. Safe Catch is the Official Tuna of the American Pregnancy Association and a Trusted Partner of Healthy Child, Healthy World. Safe Catch Elite tuna is the lowest mercury tuna of any brand and lets moms and kids feel great about choosing tuna. Since graduating from UC Davis in 2005, Sean has been developing proprietary technology to test seafood for impurities and creating seafood quality assurance programs and products. Sean has deployed new programs in Canada, Chile, Italy, Philippines, Thailand and the US for major retailers including Carrefour, Costco, MGM and Safeway. Sean wants everyone to be able to eat seafood with confidence.
