Daniel Sullivan is the visionary, creator and leader of Temple Turmeric, formerly Tumeric – Elixir of Life. The company, started in 2009 in Manhattan’s East Village, has made it its mission to change the world by pioneering turmeric-based beverages that support a positive inflammation response. Temple Turmeric began when Sullivan was farming organic turmeric in Hawaii. While eating fresh turmeric daily, he quickly noticed the transformational effects on body and mind, and began carrying fresh turmeric with him everywhere he went. Temple Turmeric elixirs are a realization of his vision to formulate the world’s first ever nourishing turmeric beverage, designed to inspire presence while celebrating a conscious approach to health, energy, and optimal wellness for your body as Temple. Prior to founding Temple Turmeric, Sullivan worked as a carpenter for 13 years, which provided him with a strong business management foundation and a direct understanding of the body. A dedicated yogi, Sullivan has studied the yogic lifestyle and the pillars of pranayama, asana and meditation. Sullivan holds a BA from James Madison University in Painting and Philosophy. Sullivan credits daily Kundalini yoga and breath work to keeping him grounded as a humble leader and connected with his ultimate purpose. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, crystals, and learning about ancient healing practices.
