Mike has over 23 years of experience in a broad range of industry sectors including defense, renewable energy, consumer products, amusement systems, robotics, and aerospace. As co-inventor of M3 Wave’s DMP submerged ocean power system, he built and tested the original DMP prototype in 1991 and led M3's APEX open water testing in 2014. Mike has numerous US and international patents for a broad range of innovations including advanced materials, miniature electro-mechanical systems, thermal processing, and innovative low-cost commercial printing systems. Current IP work includes DMP enhancements, low-cost/high-efficiency bi-di turbine designs, and robust self-deploying ocean power systems for isolated communities and disaster response. Mike has a BSME from Oregon State University with a specialization in turbomachinery, aerodynamics, and gas dynamics. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Oregon.
