Mitchell Sherrod is currently a National Major Medical Case Investigator for Travelers Investigative Services, Medical Investigations Unit; he is located in Richardson Texas. Mitchell started his investigative career in 1988 and has a Masters degree in Public Administration; Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice and has been award the Accredited Health Care Fraud Investigator designation from The National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association. While working healthcare cases received two awards from the FBI for assisting in successful Health Care Investigations, was a Team Member for the NHCAA Investigations of the Year in 2001, received the first TMIC Presidential Citation Award for an undercover reverse sting operation with the FBI resulting in 8 criminal convictions, member of the Travelers employee hall of fame has instructed or presented for NHCAA, IASIU, NICB and Travelers Medical Investigative training program. Previously worked for TMIC, The Office of the Texas Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and United States Air force, Joint Drug Enforcement Team and Security Police Investigator.
