Dr. Holt practiced ear, nose, and throat surgery for 20 years before returning to school for his law degree. He then joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina as a Medical Director and worked with the Special Investigations Unit there. Dr. Heinz Stamberger first brought the concepts and techniques of endoscopic sinus surgery to the USA at a meeting at Johns Hopkins. Shortly after that, Dr. Holt trained under Dr. Stamberger at his hospital in Graz, Austria. Medical Affairs Partners, LLC is Fred’s consulting practice in the areas of health law, managed care, and healthcare fraud.
