Jaya Tripathi is the Principal Investigator on the MITRE research initiative on Prescription Drug Misuse, applying health IT expertise and advanced analytics techniques on longitudinal prescription data. She holds postgraduate degrees in Physics and Computer Science.Prior to joining MITRE, she worked at several multinational corporations, applying big data analytics on projects such as a customer retention forecasting pilot and a perishable asset optimization problem. Since joining MITRE, she has done research in physician credentialing, patient consents in EHR, surveillance of anti-viral drugs, telemedicine, and most recently, identifying prescription drug fraud and abuse.
