Brian Haas
VP, Global Customer Experience
KLA-Tencor
Dr. Brian Haas is Vice President of Customer Experience for KLA-Tencor. Reporting into KT’s Global Customer Operations (GCO) group, his team optimizes across Product Divisions, Sales, Manufacturing, Service, Legal, and the Field to improve the overall customer experience. Haas also directly manages Corporate Quality, GCO Business Operations, Field Empowerment & Engagement, Customer Ramp Operations, and Customer Big Data Engagement. After joining KLA-Tencor in 2003, Haas served as Engineering VP, and then as General Manager, of the Surfscan-ADE Division. He later was General Manager of the Reticle Products Division. In these roles he had general P&L responsibility across all functions of the business, including direct reporting from Engineering, Marketing, and Applications Technology, with dotted-line reporting from Sales, Human Resources, Finance, Global Product Service, and Manufacturing. Haas earned bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, and Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. Haas serves on industry advisory boards for the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering, and is a mentor for entrepreneurs in the prestigious Global Social Business Incubator program at Santa Clara University. Haas also serves as a mentor for professional women advancing into executive ranks in the Women Unlimited LEAD program. He has authored dozens of published research articles and holds 12 patents.
