Duncan Meldrum is chief economist and founder of Hilltop Economics LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in business economics applications and forecasting. Hilltop Economics produces monthly economic forecasts and demand-driven outlooks of the semiconductor industry for clients in the electronic materials, semiconductor equipment and finance industries. Before establishing his own firm, Meldrum spent two and a half years as the director of the Center for Forecasting & Modeling at IHS Global Insight. He joined IHS after retiring as chief economist from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Meldrum is a past president and fellow of the National Association for Business Economics, a member of the Conference of Business Economics, National Business Economics Issues Council, and the American Economic Association. He sits on the board of the APCI Federal Credit Union and is a member of its Asset & Liability Committee.
