Tim Dumas is a Guest Service Fanatic with Servus Leadership Inc; a business consulting firm with a focus in the hospitality industry. Prior to launching Servus in 2013, Tim has managed various pubs and liquor stores in British Columbia since 2004. He began his career in the hospitality industry in 1994, while pursuing his high school diploma and then his university degree. Over twenty plus years in hospitality, Tim has held a position in almost every aspect of the industry including: office clerk, janitor, cook, bartender, and a server. While completing his BBA with a double major in accounting and marketing at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC; Tim completed practicums in sales with Frito Lay Canada Inc. and in accounting with BME Chartered Accountants. After earning his degree, he left the hospitality industry briefly to article with Ernst & Young, LLP in Vancouver, BC; before the allure of hospitality management became too bright in 2004. Over the past two years, Tim has consulted with a number of hospitality organizations including pubs, liquor stores, breweries, wineries, bakeries, and coffee shops. Increasing management proficiency and customer loyalty are two of his favourite issues to tackle within an organization. Outside of the business world, Tim can be found on the field coaching soccer, baseball and football.
