Part beverage consultant, part professional drinker; Melissa Davis (a.k.a. The Liquor Lady) is a passionate spirits and cocktail lover. With past roles as Beverage Director for a global hotel chain and airport concessionaire under her belt, Melissa was responsible for associate training, marketing & promotions, and beverage program management. In addition, she spent five years honing her skills in consumer insights and marketing for a wine and spirits company and now has responsibility for nearly thirty spirits and sake brands at an import company based in Virginia. Melissa is a Certified Specialist of Spirits, a member of the United States Bartending Guild, and founder of the cocktail blog liquorlady.com. In addition, she recently founded Drinks RVA, a consulting business focused on cocktail creation, cocktail classes, and cocktail crawls for regular folks. Melissa received her BA in Sociology from the University of Virginia and her MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
