An alumnus of Michelin Starred restaurants Chez Julien in Strasbourg, TRU in Chicago and The French Laundry in Napa Valley, Certified Culinary Professional and Advanced Sommelier Adam Seger takes a chef's approach behind the bar, being called appropriately by New City 'The Charlie Trotter of Cocktails' and the 'Grant Achatz of Spirits'. Dubbed 'Chicago's Godfather of Craft Cocktails' by TimeOut and a 'Spirits Guru' by both Fast Company and Food & Wine Magazines, Seger has helped to spread the reputation of The Windy City's cocktail culture to the international stage, creating cocktails for The W Singapore, Chef Eric Ripert's Cayman Cookout, The Russian Cocktail Club in Moscow as well as creating the first rooftop bar herb garden in Southeast Asia for 28 Hong Kong Street (named best bar in the world) in 2015. Closer to home Seger has created cocktails for The 84th Academy Awards and Oprah's 25th season finale. He creates original, art-inspired cocktails for multiple galas and major gallery openings for The Art Institute of Chicago and his monthly cocktail segment on the video lifestyle magazine 'IPic Now' is shown 365 days a year coast-to-coast on the big screen at Ipic Theatres. His creations can be found in some of the top bars, hotels and restaurants in the US, Canada, The Caymans and Asia. They include HUM Botanical Rum, 'Truffe Amere' truffle bitters by Rare Botanical Bitters Company and Balsam American Amaro, the highest rated bittersweet liqueur in America. In 2016, he has won the prestigious 'Good Food Award' for his Magnolia Shrub and the VIBE Beverage Conference 'Vista Award' for Best National Beverage Menu for IPic Entertainment. He is working on his first book "Drink Like You Eat: The Seasonal Cocktail Cookbook" and lives in Chicago when not traveling for speaking engagements and to discover new tastes and inspiration.
