Gianluca Suprani is MSC Cruises Head of Global Port Development & Shore Activities, and a member of the CLIA Global Port & Destinations Committee. Mr Suprani leads MSC Cruises’ operational and strategic engagement with the world’s port communities. In 1991 Mr Suprani graduated in Political Science at Genoa University, then spent some years in the sailing sector before entering the cruise industry at Costa Cruises. In 1995 he was based in Cuba as Managing Director of Silares Terminales Caribe, operator of the cruise terminal in Havana and Santiago de Cuba. His professional experience then continued in Madrid with tour operator Pullmantur as Director of Port Operations and Shore Excursions. In late 2007, Pullmantur became part of Royal Caribbean. As a member of Pullmantur’s Executive Committee, Mr. Suprani was involved in several innovative South American itinerary projects before joining MSC Cruises in 2010 as Corporate Shore Excursion Manager.
