Edward Cannon, Ph.D., LPC, is an associate professor at the University of Colorado Denver, where he coordinates the clinical mental health track for the M.A. in Counseling. He has presented at numerous national and state conferences. His research interests include examining climate issues for LGBTQ clients in treatment, as well as mental health resiliency factors for LGBTQ youth. He worked as an addictions counselor prior to obtaining his Ph.D. at the College of William and Mary. He currently serves on the Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners in Colorado, where he was appointed by Governor John Hickenlooper.
