Kathryn Klock-Powell is the Program Director in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at South University - Savannah Campus. Dr. Klock-Powell is a licensed marriage and family therapist, registered play therapist, and has her doctorate in Child and Family Development. She has over 20 years of experience working in mental health including private practice and outpatient family counseling. Dr. Klock-Powell has served as the Clinical Director in a community mental health agency, as the Regional Coordinator for an in-home family preservation service, and has had a private practice in play therapy. She was recently appointed to the Georgia Composite Board for Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Social Workers. She is an approved supervisor for AAMFT and for APT. She is passionate about providing experiential learning opportunities for students and sharing her clinical experience.
