Julieta Rubio, MA, NCC, LPC-Intern. Julieta Rubio is a second year doctoral student and graduate research assistant in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She graduated with her masters in community counseling from UTSA in 2013 and completed her undergraduate in psychology from Our Lady of the Lake University. Julieta currently serves as the Secretary of the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Sigma Alpha Chi chapter of Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor society. She is a National Certified Counselor and member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program. Julieta is currently interning at the Center for Health Care Services and St. PJ’s Children’s home in San Antonio, TX. Her clinical experience includes early childhood prevention; life skills, promoting self-esteem and conflict resolution with at-risk youth; and working with the homeless population. Her research and advocacy interests are improving the well-being and mental health services of the Latino population, multicultural issues in counseling, and bilingual counseling.
