Her publications include articles on multicultural and diversity training, multicultural career issues, and counseling African Americans. Dr. Evans has given over 100 presentations at local, regional and national conferences and has over 40 publications, including four books. Dr. Evans has held numerous leadership positions including Secretary for CSI International, President of the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision; and President of South Carolina Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development. One chair she is especially proud of is that of Co-Chair of the National Career Development Association and Association for Counselor Education and Supervision's Combined Commission for the Development of Career Counselors. Of the awards Dr. Evans has received, the ones she cherishes most are those awarded by students-- Outstanding Faculty Member by Chi Sigma Iota, Upsilon Sigma Chi Chapter in 2008; the Outstanding Faculty Award by USC Black Students' Association in 2006 and she was a Finalist for the George Lackey Award for Innovative Teaching in 2005.
