Melissa Luke
Associate Professor and School Counseling Program Coordinator
Syracuse University
Melissa Luke, PhD, is associate professor and school counseling program coordinator in the department of Counseling & Human Services at Syracuse University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of New York. Dr. Luke is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA); the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling (ALGBTIC); the Association for Specialists in Group Work (ASGW); the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES); and Counselors for Social Justice (CSJ). She currently serves as the President of the North Atlantic Region of Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NARACES) and Professional Trustee in ALGBTIC. Dr. Luke’s scholarship focuses on counselor preparation and practice to more effectively respond to the needs of underserved persons. Dr. Luke was also recently appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of Counselor Leadership and Advocacy.
