Defense Information Systems Agency
David (Dave) B. Bennett is the Director, Implementation and Sustainment Center (ISC) for the Defense Information Systems Agency. He provides available, reliable, and secure capabilities in support of DoD Information Networks (DoDIN). Mr. Bennett began his career when commissioned as an Armor Officer through the Army R.O.T.C. program at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1977. Over the course of his 30 year military career, he has commanded at all levels from platoon to brigade level. He has served as Project Manager for numerous Army and Joint Information Technology Programs. Mr. Bennett came to DISA in 1998 and has held several leadership positions. In January 2007, he entered the Senior Executive Service at DISA serving as the Deputy Program Executive Officer for Command and Control and in 2010; he became the Program Executive Officer for GIG Enterprise Services. In May 2012, he was selected to be the Chief Information Officer for the Agency. Leveraging the success he achieved over a 13-month period he was given the additional responsibility of converging the office of the CIO with the Enterprise Services Directorate resulting in the newly created Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Directorate. Finally, on 11 January 2015, as part of the broad Agency reorganization, Mr. Bennett was given responsibility for the implementation and sustainment of the entire DISA Catalog of Services. Mr. Bennett has numerous military awards, including the Defense Superior Service medal and the Legion of Merit. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi in February 1977, a Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 1986, and a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at Ft. McNair in 1998.
