Dr. John D. Choi

Dr. John D. Choi is a program analyst for the Cyber Directorate and Communications & Networks Directorate at OUSD(AT&L)/DASD(C3CB) through the Intergovernment Personnel Act (IPA) Mobility Program. He is the designated lead for NDAA FY17 Section 1650 which focuses on the evaluation of cyber vulnerabilities of DoD critical infrastructure. Dr. Choi served as Chief Engineer of the Advanced Concepts Division for the Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base from 2009-2012 as an IPA. He led technical efforts to enhance programs of record as well as establish the foundation for the next generation of protected MILSATCOM. He co-authored the USAF Space Modernization Initiative. Dr. Choi has been a member of the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory technical staff since 2003 in the Communication Systems Division where he has led various efforts on satellite communications, wireless communications, electromagnetic spectrum management, interference mitigation, and cyber.
