Dr. Richard Priore is a leading national expert on healthcare organization performance improvement. The intersection of his extensive professional and academic backgrounds lends both relevant industry perspective and an objective evidence-based management approach. Rich’s leadership experience spans more than 25 years in the investor-owned, not-for-profit, and government healthcare sectors with senior executive roles in large multispecialty group practices, integrated and academic health systems, and physician-owned specialty hospitals. Rich is the founder and President and CEO of Excelsior HealthCare Group focused on the assessment, execution, and speed of measurable results. He is an Adjunct Professor for the University of St. Thomas’ Healthcare MBA instructing executive students in business case analysis and management. Dr. Priore is a frequent national speaker and facilitator of education and training programs for leading healthcare organizations, associations, and Fortune 500 companies; including the Association of American Medical Colleges and the American College of Healthcare Executives, where he teaches Physician Leadership Essentials: New Management Skills for a Transformational Era. He earned a Doctorate in Health Systems Management from Tulane University and a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Baylor University. Rich is an Army veteran; serving tours of duty in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Washington, DC.
