Susan Aronson Goldstein (“Suzy”) is a senior project manager in the Performance Analysis and Improvement Unit of Population Health Management (PHM) for Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the Massachusetts General Physicians Organization (MGPO). She holds a BS, Industrial Engineering, from Northeastern University; and a MS, Industrial Engineering, from Penn State. With engineering, process improvement, business consulting, and project management experience in a broad range of industries, she brings her industrial and systems engineering mindset and skills to address needs and challenges in health care. She engages cross-functional teams to develop, test, and implement new and more effective processes and solutions to better integrate people, processes, and technology. Suzy manages the MGH Ambulatory E-Consult program - an innovative program which aims to reduce unnecessary specialist utilization and improve access to specialty care for patients who need it most. This program has grown considerably in recent years, with 100+ specialist MDs performing E-Consults across 30+ service areas. Suzy also manages and supports other process improvement and PHM specialty care transformation initiatives, including the MGH/MGPO PHM Strategic Plan Steering Committee.
