James Karcher is the Manager of the Advanced Distribution Management System Program for Duquesne Light Company located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which delivers electric service to approximately 585,000 customers in two counties in the Pittsburgh area. Jim is presently managing the installation of a new ADMS including building an electrical model. Jim has 33 years of experience working with Electric utilities in Operations, Transmission Planning and Distribution Planning and has been with Duquesne Light for the past 9 years. Prior to Duquesne Light, Jim worked at Allegheny Power as well as the Borough of Chambersburg Pennsylvania Municipal Electric Department. Jim graduated in 1985 with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
