Over 38 years at Mesa Associates, Inc. / Mesa Technical Services / Power Generation, and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Fossil and Hydro Power, Fossil and Hydro Engineering, Conservation and Energy Management, River System Operations & Environment (RSO&E), and River Operations (RO). Mr. McEntyre served as a senior management advisor to the, engineering group manager, senior project manager, unit leader/principal, electrical, instrument, and project engineer. Experience includes - TVA Lead Dam Safety Inspection Engineer. Led a multidiscipline group of engineers responsible for inspection of all power and non-power dams, associated flood control equipment, and backup power systems. Additional experience includes; field startup experience with process control systems for coal and hydro plants, permanent and portable data acquisition systems, low voltage power distribution systems, annunciator systems, emergency power systems, conduit and cable systems, programmable logic control systems (PLC), and crane and hoist control systems. Project Manager and/or Project Engineer for a wide variety of Civil / Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Generation and Dam Safety Projects. Included are full hydro power train and auxiliary system modernization projects, major cable system replacements, instrumentation and control systems, spillway, intake, and draft tube gate operating machinery upgrade and/or replacement, gate refurbishments, trash rake installations, major crane upgrade/uprate projects, and NERC compliance projects.
