Neil Millar, Executive Director of Infrastructure Development at the California ISO, is a professional engineer registered in Alberta, Canada. Prior to joining the ISO in November of 2010, he was the Executive Director of Regulatory Affairs for Alberta’s Utilities Consumer Advocate. Previously he was with TransAlta Utilities, a vertically-integrated utility, for almost 19 years. He also spent seven years with the Alberta Electric System Operator, including five of those years as Vice President of Transmission. Mr. Millar obtained his engineering degree at the University of Saskatchewan.
