Ales Skotak, Ph.D. graduated at Faculty of mechanical engineering of Technical University Brno in the field of Fluid machinery in 1990. He has completed his Ph.D. at this university in 2004 on topic of Vortex structures in water turbine draft tube. Since the university he has been working for CKD Blansko, a.s. as research engineer. Since 1996 he is working at CKD Blansko Engineering in Research and Development department and later as a Director of R&D of hydraulic machines in the company. Currently he is working as Head of Hydraulic design department in the company Litostroj Engineering.
