Eric Hsieh is the Director for Grid Systems and Components at the U.S. Department of Energy. Within the Office of Electricity, this group conducts cutting edge research and develop for new grid hardware technologies, including energy storage and power electronics. Eric was previously the Director of Business Development at Nexans and the Director of Market Development at A123 Systems. He has also held positions at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Eric received a M.P.P. from UC Berkeley and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT.
