Joined GE in 1991 as an electrical designer for Hydro Generators. He held various positions in the Hydro Generator Engineering department in Switzerland. In 2002 Thomas was appointed to R&D / Technology Director, in this function he had the overall responsibility for the Electrical R&D. Since 2011 Thomas has lead the worldwide product development programs for large hydro plants in GE Renewable Hydro.
