Wesley G. Marshall serves as Chairman of the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and was appointed as a Commissioner in 2012. Wes graduated from the University of Virginia with his B.A. with distinction in 1985 and his J.D. in 1988. Previously, he practiced law for more than 23 years, primarily representing plaintiffs in workers’ compensation, employment and other civil litigation. He serves on the executive committee of the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators, the Dispute Resolution Committee of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions, and is a member of the National Association of Workers’ Compensation Judiciary, the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. and Virginia Workers’ Compensation American Inns of Court, and other bench and bar organizations. In 2015 he was inducted as a fellow of the College of Workers Compensation Lawyers.
