Dr. Hayes has almost 38 years’ experience in occupational and industrial medicine. He is double board certified in occupational medicine and addiction medicine and has advanced certification from the American Academy of pain management. Dr. Hayes is also a licensed acupuncturist and is board-certified by the American board of medical acupuncture. He’s been involved in all aspects of occupational medicine particularly treatment of workers compensation chronic pain patients. He’s been a proponent of limited use of opiates and increase use of nonpharmacological therapies for the treatment of legacy Worker’s Compensation pain cases. He’s performed over a thousand independent medical evaluations, medical file reviews and served as an expert witness in complicated pain cases. He is also an addiction specialist and is meeting the ever increasing challenges of heroin and prescription abuses and addiction in the greater Philadelphia area. He currently serves as a Medical Director of Prium.
