Davis Hackenberg is the currently serving as the Deputy Project Manager for the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Integration in the National Airspace System (NAS) Project at Armstrong Flight Research Center. Davis performs his duties from the Washington DC metro area. The UAS Integration in the NAS Project is designed to eliminate technical and regulatory barriers that are limiting the ability for civil UAS to fly in the NAS. Davis is responsible for Integration with multiple government agencies ensuring that the products of this limited life NASA project are relevant and will be utilized by customers and stakeholders. Davis is also responsible for duties associated with strategy, planning, and execution of current and future NASA UAS related Projects.
