Dawn R. Short joined Able Services as Sr. Human Resources Business Partner for the Eastern region. In this role, Dawn will provide overall HR support to both Engineering and Building Maintenance, including employee relations, recruiting, training and other key HR support activities. Dawn possesses over 20 years of HR experience including senior leadership roles at various Media Service Industries, Comet Technologies, The Weinstein Company/Dimension Films and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Dawn holds an M.S. in Human Resources Development and Counseling as well as a B.S. in Health and Human Services from the University of Bridgeport. Dawn will be based in our New York office. Dawn has coached managers on difficult employees, recruiting, retaining, behavior modification and on getting along with their coworkers. Dawn has long recognized Human Resources helps a company establish core values, offers conflict resolution and provides training /development. Human resources is also the department that develops an employee’s talent and recruits new talent when necessary. In this case Dawn plays a critical role in recruiting the next generation of building engineers.
