Michael Wong is President and CEO of Genea, a leading smart building automation platform that has revolutionized security and energy management for some of the world’s largest enterprises and commercial real estate companies. Under Michael’s leadership, Genea has grown to serving over 1.3 users across 3,000 locations in 45 countries. Prior to joining Genea, Michael spent 15 years as a private equity investor at Leonard Green & Partners and The Blackstone Group. During his tenure at Leonard Green, Michael was responsible for the firm’s investment efforts in technology, media and telecommunication industries. Michael is currently a member of the SIA Proptech Advisory Board. He also allocates significant time to various organizations. He serves as chair of the board of directors for CASA Orange County (Court Appointed Special Advocates), and on the board of advisors for UC Irvine’s Beall Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
