For more than 40 years, Peter Stevenson and his company, Stevenson Systems have been providing building measurement and space accounting services for some of the world’s most significant commercial property owners and financial institutions. For many, Stevenson Systems is considered the "Gold Standard" in the application and monetization of square footages throughout the world. In 1985, Peter developed and introduced the first software for measuring and managing building and occupant square footage, CAREM. He has been directly involved in the development and authorship of all BOMA and IPMS Standards since 1996 and has developed many of the methodologies and measurement principles used in the real estate market today. His company, Stevenson Systems, is recognized for the creation of hundreds of millions of dollars of increase ROI and value for his clients through his innovative systems and services. To date his company as measured over 4 billion square feet of commercial properties throughout North and South America, Europe, Russia, China, and the Middle East. He has served as chair & co-chair of the BOMA Standards Measurement Revisions Task Forces and now serves as International Liaison to the BOMA International Standard Methods of Floor Measurement Committee. He is also chair of the International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS) Standards Setting Committee.
