Damian Kądrowski is a final year MSc student of Power Engineering at Lodz University of Technology, Poland. His main fields of study are conventional power plants and their components (pumps, compressors and turbines, etc.). Since the beginning of his studies he has also been interested in renewable energy sources, notably wind energy. For the last 4 years he has been a member of students team GUST (Generative Urban Small Turbine) whose aim is developing prototypes of small wind turbines designed especially for distributed wind energy systems. Damian Kadrowski has started his GUST adventure as a member of the mechanical section, to evolve into his present role of team leader. Under his supervision, GUST conducts researches in many fields of studies such as aerodynamics of blades, generator optimization, manufacturing of components and so on. Moreover in their designs, students implement and develop rapid prototyping methods such as 3D printing.
