Ray Urbanic is the VP of Engineering for Southwest Electric Corporation, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ray has over 27 years of power industry experience, primarily with switchgear application and design for both Eaton and Southwest Electric. His past 5 years have focused on custom switchgear application with respects to arc flash mitigation, visiting several customer sites and analyzing their arc flash studies in order to provide solutions for mitigating dangerous-level incident energy values. He has performed arc flash studies on his own company’s locations, generating computer modeling and analysis.
