Dr. Kayleigh McCauley is the Founder of Out In Athletics, LGBTQA+ Athletics Programming and Consulting. Out In Athletics offers on campus education and programming, as well as distance consulting, to create and foster inclusive athletic environments for the LGBTQA+ community and allies. Dr. McCauley also currently serves as the Associate Dean of Students at Lewis & Clark College. McCauley has over 10 years of experience working in student-athlete development at NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. She is a leading scholar-practitioner in LGBTQA+ issues in athletics; specializing in transgender and gender-expansive inclusion policies. Her research on NCAA transgender inclusion policies was published in the Journal of Educational Issues in 2016; the policy she drafted for Lewis & Clark College is cited as a model policy by the NCAA Inclusion Office and TransAthlete.com. McCauley currently serves on the N4A Board of Directors as the Region V Director. She earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, Higher Education in 2014 from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
