Dr. Nicki Webber Moore has served as Colgate University’s Vice President and Director of Athletics since June 2018, leading the University’s 25 NCAA Division I varsity athletics programs, and the P.E. and Recreation Program. Under Moore’s leadership, Colgate Athletics has developed a clear vision and strategic plan. Colgate student-athletes boast one of the highest GSRs in the nation at 97%. Under Moore’s leadership, the Raiders have won 11 league championships, with teams garnering six wins in NCAA and IRA postseason competitions. Program support has improved through a department-wide Under Armour contract, a Strength and Conditioning overhaul, and a new visual identity. New resources include endowments, scholarships, positions, facilities improvements, and student support resources. New support for DEI initiatives includes the Spring 2020 opening of the Raiders of Color Connect Lounge and the Plan to Build an Inclusive Community launch. New student-athlete support services and leadership programs include Raider Refuel, the Colgate Mental Performance Program, Wellness Advocates, and Career Ambassadors. Before Colgate, she was a Senior Associate AD and SWA at the University of North Carolina and the University of Oklahoma. She earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 2002 with an emphasis in Sport Psychology along with her M.A. and B.S. Ed. from the University of Missouri, where she was a four-time captain on the track and field and cross country teams. Moore is the President of the FCS Athletics Directors Association, served six years as a member of the NCAA Strategic Visioning and Planning Committee, is a member of the NCAA Mental Health Task Force, and is a Fellow for the Collegiate Clinical/Counseling Sport Psychology Association. Nicki and her husband Dr. Bill Moore enjoy four sons: Ian, Cullen, Tyler, & Brennan.
