Molly Simons, assistant director of championships and alliances, has worked at the NCAA for the last seven years. Molly started her career in intercollegiate athletics as an undergraduate at the University of Georgia where she worked for four years in the sports communications office. While there, she assisted with media relations at various campus events as well as conference and national championships. Molly completed her Master of Public Affairs degree at Indiana University in 2012. During graduate school, she gained experience in the IU compliance office where she handled issues dealing with initial eligibility as well as general bylaw inquiries. She also worked for her master’s program office overseeing fellowships for graduate students in various nonprofits throughout the community. After finishing her Masters, Molly was selected as an NCAA governance intern at the NCAA and worked primarily with Division II committees and strategic planning. Molly moved into a full-time role at the national office in April 2013. She works as a championship operations manager with primary oversight of the Division II women’s soccer championship, Division II softball championship and national collegiate women’s gymnastics championship. She is also a staff liaison to the Division II Championships Committee.
