Mark Wijman, ICAE has been working in the visitor attractions industry for more than 20 years. With engagements both as a consultant and an operator his approach is hands-on and to the point. His broad experiences make him a trusted asset to any project team in the visitor attractions industry. Mark is a Director with Lan Kwai Fong Group where he divides his time between consulting and operations. Prior to joining LKF he was an Associate Director with AECOM’s Economics practice in Hong Kong. With AECOM, his assignments were in the fields of market research, financial modelling, economic planning, economic feasibility studies, data interpretation and economic reasoning, as well as more general management consulting with a focus on strategic, marketing, human resources and operational requirements and challenges. His Client base included high profile and confidential theme park and mixed-use projects in the TIER I and II Chinese cities as well as Hong Kong SAR and South Korea. Prior to joining AECOM, he was Founder and Principal of Vineland & Partners (V&P), a visitor attractions consultant. With V&P he focused on pre-opening and management assignments for large visitor attractions such as Global Star Carnival in Hong Kong, Skånes Zoo in Sweden, Asia Park and Halong Sunworld in Vietnam and Sochi Park in Russia. Prior to founding V&P he served as Project Manager and Head of Park Operations for the 2012 World Horticultural Expo in The Netherlands, where he ultimately was responsible for the successful development and operations of all hospitality and entertainment within the park hosting over 2 million visitors. Previously, Mark served as Assistant General Manager and F&B Manager of Kongeparken in Norway. Here he was instrumental in bringing the park to a new level while managing the in-park revenues including, retail, games and F&B.
