John Lawn’s entry into our industry wasn’t a direct one – having started his career working at some of the largest sports venues and for some of the most demanding sports team owners in the country. Deciding to leave the sporting life behind, John made a bit of a professional U-turn when he chose to enter the amusement industry. That transition began in earnest in 2004 when John joined Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (HE&R), home of Hersheypark amusement park, world-class lodging properties, entertainment venues, spas, golf courses and restaurants. John quickly developed a passion for the company, its history and legacy and its core purpose of helping children in need. John’s drive and commitment led to his quick ascension through a variety of operational and leadership roles at HE&R until he was named to his current position of President and Chief Executive Officer of HE&R in June 2017.
