Rachel Quinn is the General Manager for Entertainment & Imaging at the Magic Kingdom Park which welcomed over 20 million visitors in 2017. Rachel is responsible for all aspects of business unit operation within Magic Kingdom Entertainment & Imaging, which encompasses fireworks, parades, stage shows, atmosphere performers, photographers and more. Rachel’s commitment to both safety and creativity has generated a cultural transformation at the Magic Kingdom Entertainment, reducing Cast Member injuries by more than a third from two years prior. Rachel’s active engagement is a testament to her world class leadership skills and dedication to improvement. Recently, Rachel’s team was recognized by the United Safety Council with the 2018 Bronze Corporate Safety Award. Rachel’s entertainment journey began at The Pye College of Theater in the United Kingdom, where she earned an IDTA in Modern Dance. From there, she danced professionally around the world and launched a career on cruise ships that would continue for over 25 years, progressing from performing into leadership. Rachel joined Disney Cruise Line in its inaugural year of 1998, and was quickly promoted to Cruise Director, serving on both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder. From youth activities and stage shows to ship-wide events and port adventures, Rachel acted as an onboard spokesperson for Guests in a high-visibility position, while also generating revenue for the ship. In 2005, Rachel was promoted to Executive Cruise Director for the Disney Magic, during which time Disney Cruise Line was recognized as an industry leader and received numerous accolades for bringing “family cruising” to the cruise industry. Rachel strongly believes that connecting with people is the foundation for any successful team. Her personal pillars for leadership are to lead with inspiration, follow up with accountability, make it fun and don’t take yourself too seriously.
