Stan Morrell’s career with Herschend Family Entertainment Stone Mountain Park began 10 years ago. In addition to his leadership, capital project management and mentorship roles, he is the executive producer of the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision® (over 1M guests annually) and the Yellow Daisy Festival (consistently voted one of the top three arts and crafts shows in the nation with over 400 crafters and over 200k in attendance for the 4 day festival). He began his theme park career with Taft Attractions/Kings Entertainment Company, which served over 12 million guests annually and was purchased by Paramount Pictures/Viacom. He held several positions in entertainment production and sales for Paramount Parks as a Director, Executive Director and eventually Vice President of Entertainment and Park Licensing, responsible for translating movie brands such as Star Trek, Nickelodeon, Mission Impossible, Titanic and School of Rock into live guest experiences/shows for theme parks, hotels and international events. Additionally, he has provided technical and entertainment programming on board the top cruise line companies around the globe which include Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises and Renaissance Cruises to name a few. His awards include: NAACP Achievement Award – Marion, IN Chapter, NAACP Achievement, Award – Cincinnati, OH Chapter, United States Department of Defense - Certificate of Esteem, President’s Letter of Esteem – Ball State University, Hall of Fame for Outstanding Sales Paramount Parks, Inner Circle Award for Outstanding Sales – Paramount Parks, Outstanding Achievement in Sales – Paramount Parks and Circle of Distinction in Sales – Paramount Parks. Morrell currently sits on the board of directors for the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, Georgia Travel and Tourism and enjoys traveling. He has visited most of the US and its territories in addition to extensive travel abroad.
