Rachelle Resendes teaches 5th Grade at Gulf Elementary School in the School District of Lee County, FL. Technology and academic freedom are two pillars of Resendes' classroom at Gulf Elementary School, where the educator shies away from a "one-size-fits-all" style of teaching. Her classroom environment is conducive to open communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. She encourages her students to volunteer and has implemented projects to inspire community stewardship in her students.
