Walter Landry is the Director of Technology Learning Strategy with Cox Communications, Incorporated. With more than 15 years of industry leadership, Walter has often been recognized for his solid aptitude to provide vision and operational structure for global technology organizations. He is passionate about empowering employee growth through professional development and exhibits his passion through design and implementation of unique learning programs. He began his career more than 19 years ago in Atlanta, GA and has since served some of the industry’s most reputable organizations like Nortel Networks, Comcast, and Aurora Networks. As Director of Technology Learning Strategy with Cox Communications, Walter has led learning strategies for multiple technology groups to foster a culture of employee engagement and development in order to enhance productivity along with retention. Previously, as Director of Learning Development and Professional Services with Aurora Networks, Walter was instrumental in deploying Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks to more than 100,000 customers while increasing revenue for training and professional services by actualizing new network services of value to customers. Walter graduated from Mercer University where he received a Master of Business Administration. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he studied electrical engineering and telecommunications. Walter also attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts to learn about video filmmaking. Walter’s work over the years has earned him praise from the Cable and Telecommunications HR Association. Walter lives in Grayson, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, where he enjoys community involvement and traveling.
